Portishead Arts Festival celebrates the art and the joy of photography; seeking to encourage photographers of all ages and experience.
Each year, the ArtPort festival Photography Showcase provides a platform for the many photographers in our community to share and exhibit their work; whether that’s encouraging young and amateur photographers picking up a camera for the first time; experienced and dedicated ‘amateurs’ who love exploring the medium; or professional photographers who make a living from their work and world-class photographers like the naturalist Sean Weekly.

ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS OF THE ARTPORT 2025 OPEN PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
The votes are in and counted and we can now announce the prize winners for the 2025 Artport Photography Competition.

THE ARTPORT 2025 PHOTOGRAPHY OPEN COMPETITION
The ArtPort Photography Open Competition provides a platform for photographers young and old: inspiring themes encourage engagement with the world around us with a special focus on Portishead’s richly diverse environment; whilst the ArtPort Photography Exhibition gives amateur photographers the experience of exhibiting their work publicly in an exhibition that is a key part of the arts festival programme. INTERNATIONAL WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER, 2024. Last year, ArtPort’s major community event was an exhibition of stunning works by the international wildlife photographer Sean Weekly. Bringing together images taken across the globe, the exhibition formed the centrepiece of ArtPort’s 2024 community arts programme, bring art into the centre of our community for all to access and enjoy.
