In 2022, artists Rich Sidwick and Mike Palomares of ‘Born and Brewed’ were named winners of Radio Wigwam’s International Rock and Blues Award.The Duo from Portishead have played together for over 15 years, forming ‘Born and Brewed’ in 2019.
Combining Americana/ Dark Country Blues with a steely edge, the pair are influenced by artists like Larkin Poe, Johnny Cash, The Dead South and Colter Wall. Mike provides an atmospheric backdrop with his blues guitar, whilst Rich overlays his raspy vocals to provide the smoky quality. Their original music charter’s their authentic journey reflecting on challenges with mental health and addiction in a hope that their songs raise awareness and inspire others to heal.
