ABOUT JOJO DANCE JojoDance School Portishead has been created by Martina Tavella qualified Dance Teacher (BA in Contemporary Dance and MA in Choreography). She has more the 30 years of experience, as a professional dancer first then a choreographer and now a Dance teacher and Director of Jojo Dance School Portishead. We believe Dance should be a place where everyone can express their feelings and their struggles without fear or pressure, we train kids to enjoy Dance and build self-esteem and passion. We offer weekly creative dance classes and Saturday professional contemporary classes. Creative dance combines movement and artistic expression, without the need for specific training. Creative dance is a combination of all different styles of dance, and children can create their own dance personalities and choreography. (2 shows per year with local events) Saturday contemporary dance classes are for those who want to learn dance deeply and need more structure. We will follow them in their technique, exploring different contemporary dance styles, (graham, release, floorwork) we will be focused on their postures, flexibility etc. (Opportunity of competitions).
