John is an artist who's preferred medias are steel and locally felled wood! As a precision welding engineer he has developed techniques to create purposeful art for your home and garden! You will see John's work in and around Portishead; most recently we have been commissioned to craft 'The Bug Hotel' at Portbury Wharf. There is a garden sculpture crafted by John in Rodmoor Gardens and commissioned by the wonderful 'Portishead in Bloom' Team. Several pieces along The High Street and a Victorian Archway in the walkway to the 'Bakehouse Courtyard'. He restored the 'Lorymers Park' Triangle to it's Victorian glory with guidance from Gordano Civic Society! And we thank all those who support our small independent business. We're also busy in the workshop making bespoke pieces of furniture that customers have ordered to be tailormade.......So if you see something in our online shop or at Art Port....that you like and it won't quite fit in your alcove, hallway or special place let us know and we can make a piece that is made to measure and meet your requirements.
