What is ArtPort? 

​ArtPort is a vibrant community event that brings together art, music, performance and creativity in all its forms, right here at the heart of our wonderful estuary location.
Entirely run by volunteers, the festival and its contributors work hard to bring together a range of events and creative experiences for all age groups - a packed programme of artists and makers, workshops and demonstrations, live musical performances, dance events, art trails, film and more. This year we will be putting on classical concerts, art installations, all types of music, dance, film, visual arts, crafts, workshops and children’s activities.
This year’s festival runs from Saturday 23rd - Sunday 24th September.

Opportunities to get involved - How You Can Help

COMMUNITY & VISITOR LIAISON 
(in the town, outside venues, inside venues on the move)
  • Engage with the public, direct visitors to venues, advise on where things are, raise awareness.

VENUE STEWARDS & SUPERVISORS
  • Make sure the festival runs smoothly and safely, helping our visitors to find what they need and have the best festival experience;
  • Actively greet and engage with visitors entering the venue; 
  • Make sure that, on entry, visitors know of everything there is to see in that venue.

TRANSPORT
  • We desperately need a long wheel-base van and driver to transport and return our display boards. Petrol monies paid.

MUSCLE!
  • Venue set-up; moving and building our display boards; moving furniture (tables, chairs).

TRADES & PRACTICAL SKILLS
  • Do you have practical skills? - joinery, DIY, audio/visual, electrics - whatever you can do, it would be good to know who to call!
