FIELD at Wells Cathedral

The Wells Cathedral Field
Another Field sculpture, recently installed in Wells Cathedral in 2023 as part of the Wells Art Contemporary exhibition, consists of over two thousand cast paper shells arranges in a circle on polished black porcelain. It had  resided in two different locations whilst in the Cathedral, due to (like the previous Wells Cathedral work) to uninvited removal of shells from the work. The forced change of location of the work touches upon the inherent notions of home in the Field works  (earthly, universal and spiritual).
