EXHIBITING AS A VISUAL ARTIST AT ARTPORT 2024.
Hello. If you’re reading this page, then you’re considering exhibiting at ArtPort | Portishead Arts Festival.
ArtPort is a vibrant multi-arts community event that brings together art, music, performance and creativity in all its forms, right here at the heart of our wonderful Portishead location, on the edge of the Severn Sea. Now in our third year, we continue to grow and this year will be adding classical music, literature, a film season and much more to our roster of events.
Entirely run by volunteers, the festival and its contributors work hard to bring together a range of events and creative experiences for all age groups - a packed programme of artists and makers, workshops and demonstrations, live musical performances, dance events, art trails, film and more.
Exhibiting:
For visual artists, we currently have two main venues: Somerset Hall, and the multi-space venue of the integrated Methodist Church and Beacon Hub. All these venues are well served with natural light, close to each other, and centrally located. The Methodist Church & integral Beacon Hub proved to be a particularly popular venue last year, offering a more intimate location than the main Somerset Hall, with the added benefit of the thriving Beacon Hub Cafe, plus the other multi-arts spaces that will be in use there during the festival.
We work hard on our exhibitors’ behalf to promote the festival: we maintain a vibrant and growing social media presence throughout the year. When exhibitors are confirmed, they are promoted on our website and on Instagram and Facebook. We are also considering email festival updates this year.
The exhibition is for two days: Saturday xx September and Sunday xx September. There will be an opening evening event on the preceding Friday evening.
Exhibitor pitches cost from £35 - £55. (Please refer to your exhibitor pack for exact opening hours and duration).
This fee is only payable if you are offered and accept a place.
In the event that there are more applications than spaces, we will administer a waiting list. Wait-list spaces will be offered in the event of an exhibitor cancellation or additional exhibition space becoming available.
