IAN PRICE ART I PAINTER
Originally from rural Carmarthenshire, Ian Price paints the Severn Estuary from his home in Portishead. Painting in oils, he uses a limited palette to capture the beauty within this often bleak landscape. Taking inspiration from his immediate environment, he often paints outdoors before developing larger or more abstracted works in the studio.
Ian is as talented a painter of people as he is of the landscape, enjoying the representational challenge of portraiture. His portraits have been exhibited in such prestigious venues as the Royal West of England Academy, Mall Galleries and Holburne Museum. Ian has shown landscapes and portraits in many galleries and venues in and around Bristol and Bath including the RWA Open Exhibition and the Bath Society of Artists, also at the Mall Galleries in London with multiple national Art Societies included the New English Art Club and Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
