Welcome to ARTSTORIES, a newly commissioned series of short films centred on the artists living and working in Portishead, on the estuary edge.
In it’s postindustrial rebirth, Portishead has become a haven for artists seeking to escape the city, who find inspiration in the light and unique landscape of the Severn Sea. ArtStories gives us a fascinating insight into the stories behind the art. At times humorous or moving, always interesting, award-winning director Barry Wilkinson uses his consummate skill as a film maker to draw out the threads of each unique story and craft a perfect little sampler of each artist and their story.
